Description
Villa Sea Star is an upscale waterfront villa located on Cabrita Point on the East End of the island. Situated just 24 feet from the coral beach, it looks out to Great Bay, Great St. James Island, St. John and the nearby Ritz Carlton Resort.
A walled residence set in beautiful gardens, the villa is accessed via an electronic gate. Sea Star feature full air-conditioning and is built on two levels. The interiors feature exotic seagrass, banana leaf and teak furniture in Caribbean style and accented by hand painted murals.
The upper level offers the bright and airy Great Room shared by the open kitchen and dining areas. The contemporary kitchen is fully equipped and has granite countertops. The media center features the latest in big screen TV and DVD entertainment.
Flanking the great room on the left is the spacious, king-size, master bedroom/bath suite, which runs the depth of the villa; to the right are two more king-size bedrooms with en suite baths.
Screened 12-foot pocket doors open to the villa's seaside, which is bordered by sun decks and the infinity pool. On each end of the pool are shady, covered pavilions for reading, relaxing, and napping, listening to the waves or watching the spectacular yachts go through Current Cut.
An interior staircase descends to Sea Star's lower level and two more, equal, air-conditioned, king-size bedrooms, both with bath en suites, sitting rooms (one a completely-outfitted office area with DSL line and computer), and covered verandahs across the ocean side for easy hours of secluded relaxation. These rooms are great for family and friends that want a little separation and quiet time from the rest of the group.
While “beachfront”, please note that the beach is coral and not smooth sand. Excellent snorkeling, however, may be enjoyed just off shore.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at this villa. The pool area was fantastic and the house was quite nice. To my knowledge, this is one of the only oceanfront villas in St. Thomas. Our children really enjoyed the snorkeling.
